What does it give the Miami Dolphins?
The Dolphins are taking on Talib's contract as a favor to the Rams, who will also send Miami a fifth-rounder as compensation. Talib, who is currently on IR, will likely be waived and/or released by the Dolphins before the end of '19.

What does it give the Los Angeles Rams?
The Rams wanted to get Talib's contract off the books after acquiring CB Jalen Ramsey from the Jaguars recently. Miami obliged, though it will cost a fifth-rounder to lose Talib's salary. LA will get a pick down the road here.
