Trade Details
TAYWAN TAYLOR TRADED TO CLEVELAND Saturday, August 31, 2019
The Cleveland Browns acquired wide receiver Taywan Taylor from the Tennessee Titans for an undisclosed draft pick in 2020.
What does it give the Cleveland Browns?
In Taylor, the Browns acquire a versatile receiver who can play both on the outside or in the slot. With Antonio Callaway currently suspended, look for Taylor to emerge as Cleveland's No. 4 wide receiver behind Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins.
What does it give the Tennessee Titans?
The Titans traded a player away to their Week 1 opponents, which is a bit of an NFL oddity in and of itself. Tennessee will get back a '20 draft pick in exchange for Taylor, who underachieved a bit in Nashville. His departure is good news for Tajae' Sharpe and rookie A.J. Brown.
Fantasy Impact
Taylor's fantasy stock may see a slight spike after a move to the Browns, whose offense figures to be among the NFL's best this season. That said, he is no more than a sleeper at this point and cannot move up higher than third on the depth chart in Cleveland. The big winner after this trade may be Brown, although fantasy owners may not see quality results until the second half of 2019.
