Dawson is a slot corner who has a little versatility in his game. A second-rounder in 2018, Dawson has a chance to see regular snaps as the nickel corner in Denver (provided he stays healthy) this season.

The Patriots decided to give up on Dawson a little early, but injuries played a major factor here. Also, the team probably felt that they could not keep Dawson on the initial 53-man roster to start 2019, so they took the draft pick upgrade.

There is no fantasy impact to speak of here, as Dawson may or may not emerge as the nickel corner in Denver. Even if he does, his fantasy value remains limited.
