What does it give the New England Patriots?
The Patriots have been hit hard with injuries and also the retirement of Rob Ninkovich, so Flowers will probably help from a depth standpoint. He should mainly be utilized on special teams.

What does it give the Cincinnati Bengals?
The Bengals obviously felt comfortable with their current linebacker corps and decided to ship out Flowers for a conditional pick. It is a bit curious when considering Vontaze Burfict's pending suspension.
